Astrology highlights for the week of October 30, 2022:

 

00:49 – This week's theme is: Fight for Power! The song of the week is "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy, and the movie of the week is "Do the Right Thing."

 

00:54 – This week's three big things: First, Mars (action, assertion, drive) turns retrograde (Rx) in Gemini! The planet of action, assertion and drive begins its Rx journey at 25 Gemini on October 30; it will back up to 8 Gemini (January 12, 2023). Are there any planets between these degrees in your chart in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)? If so, this Rx may affect you! Mars squares Neptune during this Rx period, so deception and/or confusion may play a part. Mars also stations quincunx Pluto, which can speak to power, control, and domination issues. Celeste has been dealing with power outages in her building – how about you? Tune in for more examples! Make sure to take extra care when driving and crossing the street. The Sabian symbol of the station degree is "Winter Frost in the Woods." Will we see heating issues in Europe and elsewhere? As much as possible, try to get some extra sleep, add mindful practices (meditation, yoga, stretching, etc.) as you're able, lighten your schedule, slow down and move with intention, and don't forget to laugh at things that you have to do twice – Gemini, the sign of the twins, is known for this! 10:32 – Second, we have an activating First Quarter Moon (FQM) at 8 Aquarius on Halloween. Will we see secrets revealed? The Sun is on asteroid Circe, a sorceress who turned men into pigs. The Moon is also parallel Eros and Hera. FQMs are a time to take action, and this one is tied to January 2022 – what was happening for you then?

 

13:15 – Third, Venus and the Sun meet the South Node at 13 Scorpio, perhaps bringing a desire to get to the bottom of things. What needs releasing? Look to the Scorpio area of your chart to find the house affected for you. The South Node can act like a cosmic drain, and the house will tell you what themes to watch out for! 14:31 – On Sunday, the theme is BREATHE. Use the breath to combat anxiety, frustration, or nervous energy during Mars retrograde.

 

15:28 – On Monday, the word of the day is CLARIFICATION. What was formerly foggy becomes clear. The Moon enters Aquarius at 8:42 am PT. The First Quarter Moon phase begins at 8 Aquarius 11:37 pm PT.

 

17:00 – Tuesday's focus is AMOR. Feel the love.

 

18:04 – On Wednesday, the word is MISTY. Do a physical body scan and check your emotions. The Moon enters Pisces at 11:46 am PT.

 

19:39 – On Thursday, the theme is AMENDS. Make them or forgive someone for their trespasses.

 

20:29 – On Friday, the emphasis is PASSIONATE. The Gibbous Moon phase begins at 27 Pisces at 11:27 am PT. The Moon enters Aries at 4:06 pm PT.

 

21:19 – On Saturday, the word is GOODBYE. Leave behind something that is no longer serving you, whether it is an ancestral wound, unhelpful self-talk, or a bad habit.
