Astrology highlights for the week of March 19, 2023:
 
00:51 – Announcements: The Aries New Moon, Intention Setting Workshop, is today (Sunday!). If you cannot join live, you can purchase the recording. Also, Celeste is speaking for the San Francisco Astrological Society about the nodal shift (North Node in Aries) on March 30. All classes can be purchased via Celeste's events page.
 
01:54 – This week's theme is: The Initiation! Tune in for details on the astrological news of the past week, including the fall of Silicon Valley Bank (check out Celeste's YouTube for more!), and Rihanna's appearance at the Oscars ceremony. (And tune in to Episode 36 to learn more about the US Pluto Return!)
 
06:20 – The three big things: First, Aries Season begins this week! Aries is a fire sign and the first sign of the zodiac. Fire is associated with inspiration, courage, and confidence. It's cardinal initiating energy, and the beginning of the astrological year. Do watch out for impulsivity and asserting one's own will. How can you have the courage to move your goals forward? Aries is a pioneer and a map maker. Also, at this ingress, Mercury is in Aries, and Mars is in Gemini – this is mutual reception, so they can help each other out. This can give us the words for how we want to take action and share our message effectively to inspire others. Avoid fighting over trivial matters, irresponsibility, and rage incidents. We also have an Aries New Moon at the first degree – so much fresh, new, fiery, bright, inspired energy! What are your intentions for new goals? Use the energy to feel inspired, articulate, and confident. You can achieve your goals!
 
10:08 – Second, Pluto enters Aquarius on Thursday! Pluto and Aquarius are both known for extremes. Pluto is a transformer. It eliminates, unearths, and has a volcanic force. Aquarius is the sign of technology, science, the internet, birds, and anything that flies (e.g., drones or astronauts). It also rules groups, clubs, friends, Congress and statehouses. Aquarius is also related to society and the collective – will we see more revolutions and/or pushes for authoritarian governments? Pluto transits Aquarius from March 23 to June 11 (staying at 0 Aquarius); it re-enters Capricorn (and gets back to 27 Cap) from June 11 to October 10; it the re-enters Aquarius on January 20, 2024; and retrogrades again in 2024, leaving Capricorn for around 248 years on November 19, 2024.
 
15:19 – Third, Mars enters Cancer on March 25, after a long 7-month stay in Gemini! It will leave Cancer for Leo on May 20. Cancer is the sign of Mars's fall: People may be more emotionally reactive and passionate. But it's also very creative! It can also be highly sexual (sex as self-care – be safe out there!). Shadow side includes being moody, accusatory, and having a victim mentality. Lean into the imaginative side of the transit.
 
17:36 – On Sunday, the theme is CHILL. Allow time for rest and relaxation. The Moon enters Pisces at 8:11 am PT.
 
18:38 – On Monday, the word of the day is BOUNTY. Take note of the abundance in your life. The Sun enters Aries at 2:24 pm PT.
 
20:57 – Tuesday's focus is ACTUALIZE. Set intentions for what you want to accomplish and then put your plan in action. The Moon enters Aries at 9:01 am PT. New Moon at 0 Aries at 10:22 am PT.
 
22:05 – On Wednesday, the word is OBSERVE. It’s a cosmically slow day. Watch what is revealed.
 
22:42 – On Thursday, the theme is EXTREME. News may break that impacts large amounts of people. Pluto enters Aquarius at 5:14 am PT. The Moon enters Taurus at 11:41 am PT.
 
24:36 – On Friday, the emphasis is CULL. Separate the wheat from the chaff. The Crescent Moon – 9:58 pm PT at 19 Taurus.
 
26:01 – On Saturday, the word is SLIPPERY. Make sure your shoelaces are tied. Mars enters Cancer at 4:45 am PT. The Moon enters Gemini at 5:41 pm PT.

03:08 – This week's theme is: Shark Week!
 
03:23 – The three big things: First, Mars is in focus this week! Mars is the masculine principle and is yang, outward-directed energy. Mars is at home in Aries ("I am") and in Scorpio ("I desire"). It rules enthusiasm, striving, fighting, fornication, survival, and protection. Mars gets us out of bed in the morning – no jellyfish here! It can also sever and separate. Mars is in detriment in Taurus (like a ticking time bomb, where pent-up anger leads to an explosion of violence or sexual misdeeds) and Libra (it wants balance, but in a fight, there is only one winner, after all). Mars is exalted in Capricorn, where it can be an incredible leader or decisive manager. And it's in fall in Cancer, where fighting energy gets misdirected, and it can get caught up in emotional fights (though we like Mama Bears!). Aspects this week include: On Tuesday, Mars squares Neptune for the third time since it entered Gemini. How do you use your energy when you come up against unclear paths? And how do you handle frustration? Have you learned anything since last August? The Sun and Mercury in Pisces will also both square Mars this week. Leave extra time; plans can go awry. And if you have addiction issues, use all your tools this week to stay healthy.
 
10:20 – Second, the Sun conjuncts Neptune at 25 Pisces on Wednesday. You may feel more motivated to pursue your dream and higher purpose. It's an excellent day for visualizing and meditating. Write down what comes to you today. Do be careful of self-delusion and escapism.
 
11:41 – Third, we have a Last Quarter Moon (LQM) at 24 Sagittarius on Tuesday. The Moon is opposite Mars, and both square the Sun/Neptune conjunction, which may bring up ego matters and impulsivity. Venus also squares Pluto, and we may see some relationships ending. With Jupiter and Venus in Aries, there may be a deep desire for freedom (think "Waiting to Exhale," when Angela Bassett set the match on fire!) This lunation is the ending of a cycle that began on the  December 14, 2020, Solar Eclipse. Interestingly, this is when the COVID vaccines were made available. Will we hear more news related to the pandemic? Other touchstones for this transit: a First Quarter Moon from Sept. 2021 and the Full Moon from June 2022. What echoes for you related to these dates?
 
16:25 – On Sunday, the theme is NAVIGATION. Follow your GPS and avoid distracted driving.
 
18:08 – On Monday, the word of the day is REVIEW. Reexamine your goals and review your work on big projects. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 12:20 am PT.
 
19:37 – Tuesday's focus is FANTASY. Do not believe everything you hear. Does it make sense? Last Quarter Moon at 24 Sagittarius is at 7:08 pm PT.
 
21:32 – On Wednesday, the word is PRACTICALITY. Use your common sense. The Moon enters Capricorn at 5:05 am PT.
 
22:17 – On Thursday, the theme is CLARITY. The fog lifts. Venus enters Taurus at 3:33 pm PT until April 10.
 
24:59 – On Friday, the emphasis is EUREKA. You may strike mental gold. Write down any fantastic ideas. Mercury Cazimi at 3:44 am PT at 26 Pisces. The Moon enters Aquarius at 7:24 am PT.
 
27:13 – On Saturday, the word is GOODBYE. Release what no longer serves you. The Balsamic Moon phase at 12 Aquarius at 3:58 am PT. Mercury enters Aries at 9:23 pm PT until April 3.

03:01 – The three big things: First, we have a Full Moon at 14 Virgo this week! The Moon is conjunct the Asteroid Lilith (representing the woman who would not be subservient) and parallel fixed star Altair (the eagle, representing boldness and military power). This Full Moon also squares Mars at 21 Gemini on fixed star Capella, expressing the need for independence. So, this Full Moon represents folks struggling against oppression. Also, will Beyonce make news this week? Her chart is activated!
 
05:55 – Second, Saturn enters Pisces for the next three years! Saturn represents structures, boundaries, and achievement after hard work. Pisces is the zodiac's last sign, representing endings, compassion, forgiveness, spirituality, and concern for other people. Will Jimmy Carter make more news? His chart is activated, and he represents both an authority (Saturn, since he was President) and he's very Piscean. Where are you looking to find mastery? 09:00 – Third, Jupiter (abundance, law, long journeys) meets Chiron ("the wounded healer") at 14 Aries. This transit could also be related to women fighting for freedom globally: Venus in Aries is sextile Mars in Gemini in a received sextile. Also, Mercury in Pisces is sextile Uranus in Taurus – on a world point! Will there be an announcement about change or freedom from something? We may see a release with the Moon in the Disseminating Phase (5 Scorpio) and near the South Node. The Jupiter/Chiron conjunction at 14 Aries is also conjunct fixed star Alpheratz, which relates to the wonder of the flying horse and its sense of freedom and love of movement. What will be set free in your life, and what will we see in world news?
 
15:45 – On Sunday, the theme is OPPORTUNITY. Make your own magic. The Moon enters Virgo at 7:38 pm PT.

02:01 – News this week: Pisces Season began with Biden's surprise visit to Ukraine! Celeste discusses how this relates to the Pisces New Moon from last week. Also, movie star Raquel Welch died, coinciding with Venus conjunct Neptune. Another related story was Nikki Haley announcing her run for President and Nicola Sturgeon stepping down as First Minister of Scotland.
 
04:25 – This week's theme is: Bullseye! It can be one of the most productive weeks of the year!
 
04:35 – The three big things: First, we have a First Quarter Moon (FQM) at 8 Gemini on Monday. This FQM relates to the New Moon from May 30, 2022; it will also connect to the Full Moon on November 27, 2023. This FQM is conjunct fixed star Aldebaran (the right and bright eye of the bull) on the USA's Uranus. It is a hot degree, where Mars stationed direct on January 12. At the time, all the airlines grounded, so take measures to prepare for travel problems, as needed. Also, take care around fire. Interestingly, Venus joins Vesta at 8 Aries in a sextile with the Moon – think, "Crazy eights." Saturn and Pluto are also at 29 degrees, in a semi-sextile, which can speak to being in the right place at the right time. Pay attention! Aldebaran can bring success, but you must act with integrity.
 
08:44 – Second, Venus (love, beauty, harmony) conjuncts Jupiter (abundance, luck, serendipity) at 12 Aries – the benefics meet! Benefics give to life, rather than take away. Do you have planets at 10-15 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn? Something positive could happen this week, or perhaps you'll make great connections. Do watch out for overindulging.
 
11:07 – Third, Mercury enters Pisces (March 2 – March 18) on Thursday. Mercury's last aspect will be conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, which may bring a hard news cycle, but is excellent for concentration! Then, when Mercury enters Pisces, it can struggle to communicate. Lean into expressing yourself through creativity.
 
13:25 – On Sunday, the theme is COMPROMISE. Avoid the pitfall of senseless arguing with those you love. Potential topics are chores and kids. The Moon enters Gemini at 7:47 am PT.
 
14:50 – On Monday, the word of the day is CHOICES. Consider your options and make a decision. First Quarter Moon at 8 Gemini at 5:25 am PT.
 
16:12 – Tuesday's focus is DOUBLECHECK. Review your strategy and adjust as needed. The Moon enters Cancer at 6:39 pm PT.
 
16:57 – On Wednesday, the word is INDULGENCE. Treat yourself to something nice but don't break the bank.

02:46 – Lots of big news this week: We knew the Full Moon in Leo (February 5) would be a big deal due to the square to Uranus on a World Point. Celeste discusses the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the downed Chinese spy balloon in the US, and the train derailment in Ohio. In brighter news, Rihanna announced she was pregnant during the Super Bowl halftime show!
 
04:58 – This week's theme is: Ears Wide Open!
 
05:07 – The three big things: First, today we have a New Moon at 1 Pisces conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. Interestingly, this New Moon chart features an "ear pattern": Two planets in sextile, and each of those planets semi-sextile a third planet (in the middle of the sextile). Here, Venus in Pisces is sextile Pluto in Capricorn, and each are semi-sextile Saturn in Aquarius. (Check out Joyce Hopewell's book The Cosmic Egg, which describes this chart pattern.) Will we learn about someone who is supposed to be an ally doing something undercover? The ear pattern is like a radar dish and picks up information! 08:34 – Second, Venus enters Aries late tonight (Sunday) PT, the sign of its detriment. Aries is a Cardinal sign and offers initiating fire energy; Venus will answer to Mars in Gemini during this transit. Rihanna is an excellent example of Venus in Aries (she has Moon, Venus, and Jupiter all in Aries)! Wonder Woman is another great archetype! How can you use this transit to go after what you desire?
 
11:40 – Third, Mercury in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus, both on world points, on Tuesday. Mercury communicates, analyses, argues, and destabilizes. Uranus awakens, liberates, disrupts, shocks, and breaks. Will it be a big news day? Be on the lookout for great ideas today, or maybe you'll be able to puzzle out a nagging problem.
 
13:08 – On Sunday, the theme is RESTFUL. Take a nap. Have a delightful afternoon. The Moon enters Pisces at 8:55 pm. New Moon at 1 Pisces at 11:05 pm PT. Venus enters Aries at 11:55 pm PT.

02:40 – The three big things: First, Pluto has reached the 29th degree of Capricorn! Pluto has been in Cap since 2008, and we are approaching the end of its time here. The anaretic degree (29th degree) is a degree of karma, faith, and fate. Uranus is still on the highly visible world point of 15 Taurus. Will we see topics and breakdowns related to Capricorn (big business, governments, and the elderly)? Celeste discusses the Chinese balloon shot down over the US last week and the canceled diplomatic mission to China.
 
07:41 – Second, this week brings a Scorpio Last Quarter (LQ) Moon at 24 degrees. What intentions did you set at the New Moon in Aquarius three weeks ago? What are you releasing? This Lunar Phase Family began in mid-Nov. 2020 (New Moon) and continued in mid-Aug. 2021 (First Quarter Moon); the revelation point was a lunar eclipse in mid-May 2022. What story is playing out for you? What lessons have you learned?
 
13:01 – Third, Pisces Season begins on Saturday! Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. It is a water sign represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. Pisces is a spiritual sign – aim for the high road of this transcendent sign, and avoid unhealthy escapism. Saturn moves into Pisces next month, and so the Sun entering this sign is spotlighting what is coming! What house does Pisces occupy in your chart?

Astrology highlights for the week of February 5, 2023:

02:17 – This week's theme is: Bullseye!
 
02:26 – The three big things: First, Celeste discusses the murder of Tyre Nichols death due to police brutality. The murder of Tyre is linked to the 3rd hit of the USA Pluto return, highlighting state abuses of power and brutality. (Want to hear more on the US's Pluto Return? Listen to Episode 36, The US Pluto Return & Mercury Retrograde: Surprise!) The Ascendant was at 29 Leo, on fixed star Regulus (the royal star whose nemesis is vengeance). And the MC was on 26 Taurus. 07:53 – Second, we have a Full Moon at 16 Leo on Sunday (February 5). Leo is a fire sign that speaks to how we shine our light and our creative self-expression. It is opposite the Sun at 16 Aquarius, which is about our relationship to the collective. How do you shine your light? How do you consider others when you're taking action for yourself? This Full Moon squares Uranus, which is on a visible world point at 15 Taurus. And Venus in Pisces squares Mars in Gemini at this time, there is potential for arguments and feeling emotional. The Lunar Phase Family for this Full Moon began in Aug. 2021, then had an opening story in May 2022. (The Last Quarter for this cycle will be in Nov. 2022.) What echoes for you? What story is being played out? How do you want to move your vision forward?
 
13:01 – Third, fixed star Aldebaran (at 10 Gemini) is activated this week, where Mars stationed. It's associated with the bullseye and is said to give riches and honors. Success comes with acting through integrity. It is one of the royal stars of Persia that acts as an amplifier and magnifies the qualities of the planet (where Mars stationed). Astrology King offers that Maternus writes of Aldebaran, "…when aspected by a malefic portends sudden and unexpected involvement in riots and sedition resulting in justly being condemned by the people." 00:52 – All planets are now in direct motion, and it's a great time to book a private astrology reading or horary consultation!
 
02:24 – This week's theme is: Seeing the Light!
 
02:33 – The three big things: First, Mercury (communication, transportation, thought processes) in Capricorn trines Uranus (unexpected event) in Taurus for the third and final time. The other two passes were on December 17, 2022 and January 8, 2023 (retrograde). Trines are a smooth, easy motion – so things can happen quickly. Mercury can argue and destabilize, and Uranus (on a world point!) can bring unusual events. What type of news will we see around the world? Do you have a story related to these dates?
 
06:06 – Second, the asteroid Ceres stations retrograde (Rx) at 6 Libra this week. Ceres is the Goddess of the grain and harvest; the Persephone myth explains the seasons. It's represented by the sickle, the mother figure (nurturing, caretaking), laborers, servers, and unions. Will we see news about food issues or more headlines regarding the price of eggs?

03:01 – This week's theme is: Love and Other Drugs!
 
03:06 – The week's three big things are: First, Uranus stations direct on the World Point of 15 Taurus, so we may see some high-profile events. This energy is most intense five days before and after the station. Will there be news about the women in Iran and Afghanistan? Will we see the big split of a famous marriage? (Tune in to hear about Melania Trump's chart.) Finally, with this station, we have "all systems go": All planets are in direct motion until April 21. What do you want to launch?
 
07:13 – Second, the Sun is on Altair (1 Aquarius), a fixed star of boldness and military power. One representation is that of the eagle, for action and strength. Also, Mercury is conjunct fixed star Facies (8 Capricorn), the eye of the archer. It gives penetrating vision and focused energy. Feel the determination to achieve your goals.
 
08:35 – Third, Venus enters Pisces, the sign of its exaltation. Here, Venus has essential dignity. Celeste discusses horary astrology (the astrology of burning questions!). When a planet is exalted, it has honor and is illustrious and remarkable; Venus is lifted up here, an invited guest who receives honors. (One interesting example is the chart of Meghan Markle!) Pisces is the sign of all-encompassing love. Venus in Pisces is like a poet, a ballerina, or a singer who can express deep love. It's a wonderful time to do things related to the arts or music. Try to avoid overindulging in bad habits or unhealthy escapism.
 
12:55 – On Sunday, the theme is SEPARATION. This day will be difficult for some as there is breakup energy. If you or a loved one needs some time alone, honor it.
 
15:27 – On Monday, the word of the day is STORMY. Bring your emotional umbrella. People's moods may be volatile. The Moon enters Pisces at 9:35 am PT.

02:26 – This week's theme is: Penetrating Vision! The week's three big things are: First, Mercury stations direct at 8 Capricorn on Wednesday! It's stationing on fixed star Facies, which, according to Astrology King, is associated with warlike skill and danger to the eyes. Take extra care of your eyes this week! In horary astrology, Facies is associated with eyesight as well. It can also be about having a penetrating vision, and an intense and probing nature. How can you focus on what you want to bring forward? Also, Mercury is stationing in a quincunx to Mars, which can feel like an irritant. How can you release a thought process or way of thinking to help move you forward? A Yod or "finger of God" is also present, as Mercury sextiles the South Node in Scorpio. Will we see big news related to this Yod?
 
07:13 – Second, the Sun will have its annual conjunction with Pluto. Think: intensity and deep waters. (Lend your ears to Episode 36, "The US Pluto Return & Mercury Retrograde: Surprise!," to hear more about Pluto.) The Sun puts a spotlight on things, and Pluto breaks things down – it rules death and rebirth. This transit could be significant for the US, as Mars is on our natal Uranus. Will we see power struggles or some news of aggression? Remember to breathe and ground yourself if you feel out of sorts.
 
10:52 – Third, the Sun enters Aquarius on Friday, and we have an Aquarius New Moon on Saturday! Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer but  is an air sign. (The water represents the water of knowledge.) Aquarius rules over the collective and is future-focused. Saturn rules it in traditional astrology and Uranus in modern astrology. It's also the sign of our hopes and dreams. What's your bigger vision? How can you step back and have a higher view of things?
 
13:26 – On Sunday, the theme is PASSION. What lights you up? The Moon enters Scorpio at 4:08 am PT.
 
14:23 – On Monday, the word of the day is ADJUSTMENTS. Be flexible and release entrenched positions.
 
16:44 – Tuesday's focus is BENDING. Be like a willow tree, bend but do not break. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 9:32 am PT.
 
17:54 – On Wednesday, the word is REBIRTH. Things you thought were dead may have a second life. The Balsamic Moon at 13 Sagittarius is at 7:55 am PT.
