Astrology highlights for the week of January 8, 2023:
00:50 – This week's theme is: Slow and Steady! This week's three big things are: First, Mercury (communication) in Capricorn trines Uranus (genius, sudden changes, lightning strikes, great awakenings) in Taurus. Both planets are retrograde; they appear to be moving backward. Trines are harmonious; there is easy flow. Capricorn is the sign of business, our ambitions, and what we want to achieve. Taurus is the sign of our resources and values. Will you mine from your experience, and come up with an excellent idea for how you want to move forward?
03:20 – Second, Mars stations direct FINALLY! Mars has been in Gemini since August 20, 2022. On November 30, 2022, it stationed retrograde at 25 degrees Gemini. It's stationing direct at 8 degrees of Gemini. It will be treading over old ground for a few more weeks. Things that are stalled may get some momentum forward. Have you experienced scattered thinking? Use your breath to calm and ground. When Mars stationed retrograde, it did so in a square to Neptune – the planet of illusion and delusion; it was also in a quincunx to Pluto (transformation, chaos and rebirth). This backdrop happened between two eclipses, and there was some big news items: the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk; the terrible Idaho murders of four college students; the "bomb cyclone" in the USA (Buffalo, NY was especially hard hit); the Southwest Airlines meltdown; Greta Thunberg taking down Andrew Tate when he publicly tried to make fun of her, and it backfired; and all of the fake accounts going around, especially on Instagram (Note: Celeste ONLY has one IG account: @astrologybyceleste); and all kinds of unexpected happenings related to the World Cup.
12:52 – Third, we have a Last Quarter (LQ) Moon at 24 Libra on Saturday. Libra is an air sign with a focus on partnership. Libra is represented by the scales. How can you find balance in relationships? This LQ Moon is conjunct the fixed star Spica, which is related to marriage, success, and creativity. LQ Moons are a great time to consider what lessons have been learned in the previous 3-week cycle and the previous 27-month cycle (which began October 16, 2020). Touchpoints in this cycle also occurred on July 17, 2021, and April 16, 2022. What story knits together when you consider these dates?
17:30 – On Sunday, the theme is ANCHOR. What tools help keep you steady and stable? Use them this week.
20:12 – On Monday, the word of the day is COOPERATION. Conflict can escalate quickly. Seek win-win solutions.
21:08 – Tuesday's focus is ELEVATE. Practice being the observer, and as Michelle Obama says, when they go low, we go high! The Moon enters Virgo at 7:15 am PT. The Disseminating Moon phase at 5 Virgo begins at 6:27 pm PT.
22:46 – On Wednesday, the word is SOOTHING. Listen to calming music; it soothes the savage beast.
23:41 – On Thursday, the theme is RELIEF. Mars stations direct finally, phew! The Moon enters Libra at 6:56 pm PT.
24:32 – On Friday, the emphasis is CONTACT. Make some new connections to help you achieve your goals.
25:32 – On Saturday, the word is EXCITEMENT. Have some fun! The Last Quarter Moon is at 24 Libra at 6:10 pm PT.

03:27 – This week's theme is: Great Awakenings! This week's three big things are: First, Uranus is on the World Point of 15 Taurus. It's known as the Great Awakener and is the higher octave of Mercury. Uranus liberates, breaks things, and brings shocks, awe, or sudden upheaval. It rules earthquakes and lightning bolts. Think: "Eureka!" Uranus rules freedom and equality; it was founded around the time of the French Revolution. Uranus is aligned with eccentricity and/or genius, and just does things differently: The planet spins on its side backward! Uranus spends 7 years in a sign and takes 84 years to go around the chart; a significant life transit is the Uranus opposition around age 42. Uranus can bring excitability, stress, and separation. Expect the unexpected. Celeste also shares what happened when Uranus transited over her Sun! Trump, Musk, and Zelensky both have strong Uranian signatures in their charts. On January 5, the Sun at 15 Capricorn will trine Uranus in Taurus.
14:45 – Second, Venus enters Aquarius this week! Venus is known as a benefic and can sweeten things. Aquarius is the sign of friendship and community. Will we hear stories of people wanting more freedom and/or equality in relationships?
15:34 – Third, we welcome a Full Moon at 16 Cancer on Friday! Cancer rules home, family, foundations, and security. How do you keep yourself safe? This Full Moon is connected to the Lunar Phase Family that began July 9, 2021 (New Moon at 18 Cancer), the First Quarter Moon from April 8, 2022 (at 19 Cancer), and will finish up with the Last Quarter Moon at 13 Cancer on October 6, 2023. What story is playing out for you?
17:51 – On Sunday, the theme is INSPIRATION – Have a bright outlook on the new year!
19:14 – On Monday, the word of the day is POSSIBILITIES. An excellent day for journaling your goals. The Gibbous Moon phase at 27 Taurus begins at 1:16 pm PT. Venus enters Aquarius at 6:09 pm PT. The Moon enters Gemini at 6:44 pm PT.

Astrology highlights for the week of December 25, 2022:
01:14 – This week's theme is: Surprise! The three big things this week are: First, Jupiter at 0 Aries is semisquare Uranus at 15 Taurus all week. Both are on world points; big news is coming this week! Will your big splash turn into a belly flop? Will delightful, serendipitous occurrences happen? It's a time to slow down and not rush things.
03:54 – Second, the third and final hit of the US Pluto Return occurs on the 28th! Pluto is known as the Lord of the Underworld. The planet of transformation takes 248 years to circle the Sun, so people never have Pluto Returns (but countries do). Pluto spends 11 to 30 years in a zodiac sign and has been in Capricorn since 2008. Pluto's ideas and words include primal, intensity, power, obsession, rebirth, transformations that are non-negotiable, and wealth from the Earth. On the positive side, Pluto can bring healing and regeneration. But it can also be cruel, brutal, sadistic, destructive, volcanic, and extreme. Pluto is known to unearth buried things; it eliminates and humbles. It is associated with shadows, things we would rather disown, taboo stuff, and sexuality. (Check out the Plutonic movies Seven with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt and 9 ½ Weeks with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke if you'd like!) When people have a Pluto transit, life is never the same again… but once you get through one, Pluto can bring a present of some kind! Natal Pluto is in the US chart's 2nd house of assets, finances, and values. Interestingly, Mercury (commerce, transportation), Venus (negotiations & agreements), and Pluto are parallel! Will we see a railway strike or a government shutdown? Remember that the Renaissance comes after the transformation.
13:16 – Third, Mercury is at 24 Capricorn and turns retrograde (Rx) on Thursday (December 29 - January 18)! It's a great time to review what plans you want to move forward in 2023! Review, revisit, slow down, and be especially careful since Mars is Rx in Gemini, which may bring difficult travel. PSA: Don't sign big contracts or deals unless you read the fine print carefully.
16:53 – On Sunday, the theme is KINDNESS. Speak with loving words to avoid conflict and hard feelings.
18:30 – On Monday, the word of the day is ELEVATE. Practice being the observer. The Crescent Moon phase at 19 Aquarius begins at 6:54 am PT. The Moon enters Pisces at 11:33 pm PT.
21:15 – Tuesday's focus is RELEASE. Listen to beautiful music to soothe your soul.

02:04 – The three big things this week: First, during the past couple of weeks Mercury, Venus, and the Sun have cleared the opposition with Mars retrograde (Rx) in Gemini! Oppositions have to do with other people. Have people been doing “martial” things in your life? What light was shed on Mars Rx in Gemini topics for you? Gemini has to do with siblings, cars and transportation – perhaps you’ve seen these types of issues? Mercury is related to communication; Venus rules relationships and friendships, finances, jewelry, clothes, and fashion; and the Sun rules authorities and heads of state. Celeste also discusses news and “astrology in action” related to Donald Trump, Kanye West, the Oath Keepers, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. The wild, chaotic energy is also related to Mars Rx, Venus, and the Moon… all out of bounds!
11:21 – Second, the Sun squares Neptune on Wednesday! Neptune is the foggy, misty planet of illusions and delusions. Once we get on the other side of square to Neptune, hopefully the fog should lift, and we’ll see more clearly. Will we see news related to drugs, dreams, chemicals, oil, glamour, resignations, scandals, visions, sleight of hand, storms, or surrender/sacrifice? We shall see – these are all Neptunian topics!
14:05 – Third, we have a Last Quarter Moon at 24 Virgo on Friday! This is the chop wood/carry water energy! Time to think about improving health and removing that which no longer serves, and separating the wheat from the chaff. Watch out for being overly critical, though. 02:33 – This week's theme is: The Throes of Passion! The three big things: First, a lot of chaotic energy is happening right now. Mars, Mercury, Venus, and asteroid Pallas Athene are out of bounds all week. Also, Venus and Mercury are opposite Mars in mutable signs, and they're all squaring Neptune! Will we hear wild news from the World Cup? Also, the Sun is parallel asteroid Aesculapia (associated with physicians and healing) – hopefully, we won't hear news of an injury! Venus is conjunct asteroid Hygeia (public hygiene, preserver of health).
07:12 – Second, Jupiter. Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius and is in its other home sign right now, Pisces. The biggest planet rules abundance and protects us from asteroids (thus, it is known as a protector). Jupiter makes everything bigger – good and bad. It rules law, morality, ethics, and philosophy. It's known for its big ideas and is associated with systems of belief, reckless behavior, and overindulgence. On the shadow side, it can be moralizing – like a know-it-all. It magnifies things. Mercury and Venus will square Jupiter this week. Mercury can show massive dexterity (like gymnast energy). Take time to enjoy cleverly woven stories and humor. Venus in Sagittarius squaring Jupiter in Pisces can bring excessive flattery, people waxing philosophical about love, overspending, and daredevil stuff (like bungee jumping). After the square, Mercury and Venus enter the earth sign of Capricorn and settle down.
11:44 – Third, we welcome a Full Moon at 16 Gemini on December 7! Look back to the solar eclipse from June 10, 2021, and the First Quarter Moon from March 10, 2022, for stories and themes that connect in your life. The Last Quarter in this Lunar Phase Family will be September 6, 2023. The Gemini/Sag is the axis of information. Secrets revealed. What ideas drove long-range goals during these times for you? Reflect on where you started and are now. Celebrate any wins. The Moon is conjunct Mars, so people may be extra fiery or verbally aggressive (like a catcalling energy)! The Gemini Moon is reporting into out-of-bounds Mercury; will we see crimes of passion? The folks in China rebelling against Covid lockdowns reflect this. Also, Venus is parallel Facies, a fixed star at 8 Capricorn. This star's nature is extreme intensity and is the eye of the archer, with penetrating vision.

01:51 – This week's theme is: Foggy Bottoms. Let's kick it off with how astrology is showing up in the news: Mars is retrograde (Rx) in Gemini and still in square to Neptune, and we've seen transportation accidents, the Twitter fiasco, and other events unfolding, such as the horrific murders of several college students in separate events. Elizabeth Holmes (of Theranos) was sentenced, and basketball player Brittney Griner received harsh punishment in Russia. Also, Sam Bankman-Fried (Saturn return) hit the news with the collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX.
10:13 – This week's three big things: First, on Wednesday, there is a First Quarter Moon at 8 Pisces. Mars Rx is trine Saturn on this day, bringing up themes of responsibility and determination; be aware that sneaky actions may bring getting caught! Mars Rx is also opposite Venus and Mercury in Sagittarius, which can be good for creativity in writing or art, and it's excellent for enjoying or playing music.
12:42 – Second, the royal fixed star Antares is highlighted this week. It's in the Scorpio constellation but located at 9 Sagittarius in Western astrology. It's associated with obsessive passion and is called "the watcher of the west." It can bring remarkable success but one that can cause someone's undoing, too. It's known as a rival to Mars. Take extra care with fire this week. It also can bring success in battles – will we see any advancements regarding Ukraine?
15:10 – Third, Neptune stations direct at 22 Pisces! Venus will also be approaching a square to Neptune, which is a rose-colored glasses aspect. The mutable signs will likely be most affected. If you feel tired or aimless, take care of yourself. Check-in on those you love who are feeling the weight of the world. We often feel this energy five days before and after the actual day Neptune stations, so rest, nurture, and be well. Neptune rules fog, and this is like Vaseline on a mirror. Remember: Things may not be as they appear.
17:17 – On Sunday, the theme is CAUSTIC. Sharp words can leave a burn. Speak kindly to those you love. The Moon enters Aquarius at 2:05 pm PT.
18:33 – On Monday, the word of the day is CONSEQUENCES. Keep your hands out of the cookie jar; Mommy has eyes in the back of her head.
20:03 – Tuesday's focus is ARGUMENTS. Choose your battles wisely. Have facts to back up your assertions. The Moon enters Pisces at 4:15 pm PT.
21:38 – On Wednesday, the word is DISHARMONY. Healthy conflict can help us grow. The first quarter Moon is at 8 Pisces at 6:36 am PT.
23:04 – On Thursday, the theme is FLAKY. People may impulsively make commitments that they do not plan to or are unable to keep. The Moon enters Aries at 8:40 pm PT
24:27 – On Friday, the emphasis is LIGHTHEARTED. It is Friday, have some fun but avoid overindulgence.
24:49 – On Saturday, the word is DAZED. Chill out and listen to music.

Astrology highlights for the week of November 20, 2022:

01:11 – We've made it past the eclipses (whew!), where lots of folks saw changes in relationships – some unexpected, perhaps. Celeste reviews some of the news stories since eclipse season began and correlates them to the planetary action: the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband; the Twitter fiasco; the US election results and lack of a "red wave"; and Donald Trump's reputation following the US election.
08:38 –This week's theme is: Return to Joy! This week's three big things: First, asteroid Vesta enters Pisces. Vesta is related to the home and hearth. When transits happen to your natal Vesta, it can often be related to your home or your sister. Also, if Vesta is strongly placed, it can be related to devotion and/or to a life of service.
11:46 – Second, Sagittarius season begins on Tuesday! Jupiter rules this fire sign and is currently transiting Pisces, one of its homes. Hopefully, we'll be feeling more joy and optimism. Do you notice a lightening of your emotions this week? Sagittarius's energy is lighter than intense, deep Scorpio.
12:33 – Third, we have a beautiful New Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday at 1 degree Sagittarius. This New Moon is conjunct fixed star Toliman, the teacher. Venus and Mercury are conjunct in this sign too. Take time to celebrate with friends and family. Time to get back into the joy of life, woo hoo!
14:09 – On Sunday, the theme is OPTIMISM. Consider the glass half full. The balsamic moon phase begins at 13 Libra at 3:07 am PT. Vesta enters Pisces at 1:17 pm PT.
15:33 – On Monday, the word of the day is COMRADERIE. It's a great day for a meeting where you will focus on future collaborations. The Moon enters Scorpio at 9:15 am PT.
16:38 – Tuesday's focus is ABUNDANCE. Share your wealth with those less fortunate. Consider a charitable donation. The Sun enters Sagittarius at 12:20 am PT.
17:40 – On Wednesday, the word is MAGNIFY. Dig into the details of important projects or contracts. Read the fine print. Jupiter stations direct 28 Pisces at 3:02 pm PT. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 12:15 pm PT. The New Moon is at 1 Sagittarius at 2:57 pm.

Astrology highlights for the week of November 13, 2022:

02:20 – This week's theme is: Visualizing the Dream! Eclipse season brings awakening and changes, and now it's time to move forward. This week is great for visualizing, but take is slowly, as Mars is still retrograde (Rx).
04:02 – This week's three big things: First, the Sun in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, which dissolves, sensitizes, and gives the desire to go to a higher spiritual plane. Venus and Mercury in Scorpio also trine Jupiter in Pisces, highlighting the themes of generosity, trust, luck, forgiveness, or legal matters. How will you spotlight the dream? Find the words and journal. It's a good time for planning but consider pausing on taking action until Mars is direct in mid-January. Also, hold off on making impulsive purchases! 00:22 – Second, Mars Rx in Gemini squares Neptune Rx in Pisces for the second time. The first square was on October 11. What connects from that time? Deception and misunderstandings may be afoot. 13:32 – Third, the Last Quarter Moon at 24 Leo is on Wednesday. It is the psychological integration phase. This phase began on October 25 with the Scorpio Solar Eclipse. Also, think back to August 18, 2020, when the Lunar Phase Family began. What thread runs through this story for you? The story is wrapping up.
15:32 – On Sunday, the theme is MUSIC. Listen to the music in your heart.
17:56 – On Monday, the word of the day is SENSITIVE. Give yourself and others grace. The Moon enters Leo at 4:47 am PT.

Astrology highlights for the week of November 6, 2022:
00:49 – This week's theme is: Buckle Your Seatbelt! We have a surprising Lunar Eclipse in Taurus coming up on Tuesday! What will it bring us? Celeste also shares some thoughts on current news and how it fits from an astrological perspective.
05:31 – Celeste's thoughts on Mars retrograde (Rx) in Gemini during this eclipse season. Mars is also in a square to Neptune in Pisces and is quincunx Pluto in Capricorn. Be sure to grab your eclipse season video series to help you navigate these waters!
07:12 – This week's three big things: First, yesterday, Venus opposed Uranus in Taurus. And today, Venus in Scorpio squares Saturn in Aquarius. Relationships are under pressure! Did someone do something surprising? Relationships have a "big beginnings and big endings" flavor. Folks most affected will have planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
09:38 – Second, the intense Taurus Lunar Eclipse on Tuesday will activate the Saturn-Uranus square. The Moon is conjunct Uranus during this eclipse, which can feel chaotic. Celeste ponders how the astrology will show up in the US mid-term elections. Vote! If you haven't been able to vote early, try to get to the polls early in the day on Election Day! Also, the Sun is parallel fixed star Sirius, the shining one/ scorcher. Mars is parallel fixed star Alcyone. Tune in to learn more.
15:03 – Third, Mercury will go Cazimi! This means that Mercury joins up with the Sun in Scorpio, in the heart of the Sun! Mercury and the Sun will then oppose Uranus (shocks and awe) and square Saturn (consequences or rewards for behavior).
16:45 – On Sunday, the theme is EGOTISM. Ego-based actions can lead to regrets. The Moon enters Taurus at 9:14 pm PT.
18:36 – On Monday, the word of the day is ROOTED. Drop an imaginary anchor to help yourself ground.
19:26 – Tuesday's focus is BONKERS. Election day in the USA. Expect the unexpected. The Lunar Eclipse is at 16 Taurus at 3:02 am PT. Celeste loves Lynda Hill's interpretation of the Sabian Symbols.
22:18 – On Wednesday, the word is ACCUSATIONS. Check your facts and sources. Don't believe everything you hear. The Moon enters Gemini at 5:36 am PT.
