02:01 – News this week: Pisces Season began with Biden's surprise visit to Ukraine! Celeste discusses how this relates to the Pisces New Moon from last week. Also, movie star Raquel Welch died, coinciding with Venus conjunct Neptune. Another related story was Nikki Haley announcing her run for President and Nicola Sturgeon stepping down as First Minister of Scotland.
04:25 – This week's theme is: Bullseye! It can be one of the most productive weeks of the year!
04:35 – The three big things: First, we have a First Quarter Moon (FQM) at 8 Gemini on Monday. This FQM relates to the New Moon from May 30, 2022; it will also connect to the Full Moon on November 27, 2023. This FQM is conjunct fixed star Aldebaran (the right and bright eye of the bull) on the USA's Uranus. It is a hot degree, where Mars stationed direct on January 12. At the time, all the airlines grounded, so take measures to prepare for travel problems, as needed. Also, take care around fire. Interestingly, Venus joins Vesta at 8 Aries in a sextile with the Moon – think, "Crazy eights." Saturn and Pluto are also at 29 degrees, in a semi-sextile, which can speak to being in the right place at the right time. Pay attention! Aldebaran can bring success, but you must act with integrity.
08:44 – Second, Venus (love, beauty, harmony) conjuncts Jupiter (abundance, luck, serendipity) at 12 Aries – the benefics meet! Benefics give to life, rather than take away. Do you have planets at 10-15 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn? Something positive could happen this week, or perhaps you'll make great connections. Do watch out for overindulging.
11:07 – Third, Mercury enters Pisces (March 2 – March 18) on Thursday. Mercury's last aspect will be conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, which may bring a hard news cycle, but is excellent for concentration! Then, when Mercury enters Pisces, it can struggle to communicate. Lean into expressing yourself through creativity.
13:25 – On Sunday, the theme is COMPROMISE. Avoid the pitfall of senseless arguing with those you love. Potential topics are chores and kids. The Moon enters Gemini at 7:47 am PT.
14:50 – On Monday, the word of the day is CHOICES. Consider your options and make a decision. First Quarter Moon at 8 Gemini at 5:25 am PT.
16:12 – Tuesday's focus is DOUBLECHECK. Review your strategy and adjust as needed. The Moon enters Cancer at 6:39 pm PT.
16:57 – On Wednesday, the word is INDULGENCE. Treat yourself to something nice but don't break the bank.
17:58 – On Thursday, the theme is DELIBERATE. Great day for concentrated thinking. Mercury enters Pisces at 2:51 pm PT.
18:48 – On Friday, the emphasis is HEALING. Practice self-care. The Gibbous Moon occurs at 27 Cancer at 2:19 am. The Moon enters Leo at 7:15 am.

02:46 – Lots of big news this week: We knew the Full Moon in Leo (February 5) would be a big deal due to the square to Uranus on a World Point. Celeste discusses the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the downed Chinese spy balloon in the US, and the train derailment in Ohio. In brighter news, Rihanna announced she was pregnant during the Super Bowl halftime show!
04:58 – This week's theme is: Ears Wide Open!
05:07 – The three big things: First, today we have a New Moon at 1 Pisces conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. Interestingly, this New Moon chart features an "ear pattern": Two planets in sextile, and each of those planets semi-sextile a third planet (in the middle of the sextile). Here, Venus in Pisces is sextile Pluto in Capricorn, and each are semi-sextile Saturn in Aquarius. (Check out Joyce Hopewell's book The Cosmic Egg, which describes this chart pattern.) Will we learn about someone who is supposed to be an ally doing something undercover? The ear pattern is like a radar dish and picks up information! 08:34 – Second, Venus enters Aries late tonight (Sunday) PT, the sign of its detriment. Aries is a Cardinal sign and offers initiating fire energy; Venus will answer to Mars in Gemini during this transit. Rihanna is an excellent example of Venus in Aries (she has Moon, Venus, and Jupiter all in Aries)! Wonder Woman is another great archetype! How can you use this transit to go after what you desire?
11:40 – Third, Mercury in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus, both on world points, on Tuesday. Mercury communicates, analyses, argues, and destabilizes. Uranus awakens, liberates, disrupts, shocks, and breaks. Will it be a big news day? Be on the lookout for great ideas today, or maybe you'll be able to puzzle out a nagging problem.
13:08 – On Sunday, the theme is RESTFUL. Take a nap. Have a delightful afternoon. The Moon enters Pisces at 8:55 pm. New Moon at 1 Pisces at 11:05 pm PT. Venus enters Aries at 11:55 pm PT.
14:59 – On Monday, the word of the day is BANDAGE. Be careful with sharp objects.
15:41 – Tuesday's focus is DECELERATE. Slow down, icy roads ahead. The Moon enters Aries at 9:13 pm PT.

02:31 – This week's theme is: Baggage Drop-off!
02:40 – The three big things: First, Pluto has reached the 29th degree of Capricorn! Pluto has been in Cap since 2008, and we are approaching the end of its time here. The anaretic degree (29th degree) is a degree of karma, faith, and fate. Uranus is still on the highly visible world point of 15 Taurus. Will we see topics and breakdowns related to Capricorn (big business, governments, and the elderly)? Celeste discusses the Chinese balloon shot down over the US last week and the canceled diplomatic mission to China.
07:41 – Second, this week brings a Scorpio Last Quarter (LQ) Moon at 24 degrees. What intentions did you set at the New Moon in Aquarius three weeks ago? What are you releasing? This Lunar Phase Family began in mid-Nov. 2020 (New Moon) and continued in mid-Aug. 2021 (First Quarter Moon); the revelation point was a lunar eclipse in mid-May 2022. What story is playing out for you? What lessons have you learned?

02:17 – This week's theme is: Bullseye!
02:26 – The three big things: First, Celeste discusses the murder of Tyre Nichols death due to police brutality. The murder of Tyre is linked to the 3rd hit of the USA Pluto return, highlighting state abuses of power and brutality. (Want to hear more on the US's Pluto Return? Listen to Episode 36, The US Pluto Return & Mercury Retrograde: Surprise!) The Ascendant was at 29 Leo, on fixed star Regulus (the royal star whose nemesis is vengeance). And the MC was on 26 Taurus. 07:53 – Second, we have a Full Moon at 16 Leo on Sunday (February 5). Leo is a fire sign that speaks to how we shine our light and our creative self-expression. It is opposite the Sun at 16 Aquarius, which is about our relationship to the collective. How do you shine your light? How do you consider others when you're taking action for yourself? This Full Moon squares Uranus, which is on a visible world point at 15 Taurus. And Venus in Pisces squares Mars in Gemini at this time, there is potential for arguments and feeling emotional. The Lunar Phase Family for this Full Moon began in Aug. 2021, then had an opening story in May 2022. (The Last Quarter for this cycle will be in Nov. 2022.) What echoes for you? What story is being played out? How do you want to move your vision forward?
13:01 – Third, fixed star Aldebaran (at 10 Gemini) is activated this week, where Mars stationed. It's associated with the bullseye and is said to give riches and honors. Success comes with acting through integrity. It is one of the royal stars of Persia that acts as an amplifier and magnifies the qualities of the planet (where Mars stationed). Astrology King offers that Maternus writes of Aldebaran, "…when aspected by a malefic portends sudden and unexpected involvement in riots and sedition resulting in justly being condemned by the people." 00:52 – All planets are now in direct motion, and it's a great time to book a private astrology reading or horary consultation!
02:24 – This week's theme is: Seeing the Light!
02:33 – The three big things: First, Mercury (communication, transportation, thought processes) in Capricorn trines Uranus (unexpected event) in Taurus for the third and final time. The other two passes were on December 17, 2022 and January 8, 2023 (retrograde). Trines are a smooth, easy motion – so things can happen quickly. Mercury can argue and destabilize, and Uranus (on a world point!) can bring unusual events. What type of news will we see around the world? Do you have a story related to these dates?
06:06 – Second, the asteroid Ceres stations retrograde (Rx) at 6 Libra this week. Ceres is the Goddess of the grain and harvest; the Persephone myth explains the seasons. 03:01 – This week's theme is: Love and Other Drugs!
03:06 – The week's three big things are: First, Uranus stations direct on the World Point of 15 Taurus, so we may see some high-profile events. This energy is most intense five days before and after the station. Will there be news about the women in Iran and Afghanistan? Will we see the big split of a famous marriage? (Tune in to hear about Melania Trump's chart.) Finally, with this station, we have "all systems go": All planets are in direct motion until April 21. What do you want to launch?
07:13 – Second, the Sun is on Altair (1 Aquarius), a fixed star of boldness and military power. One representation is that of the eagle, for action and strength. Also, Mercury is conjunct fixed star Facies (8 Capricorn), the eye of the archer. It gives penetrating vision and focused energy. Feel the determination to achieve your goals.
08:35 – Third, Venus enters Pisces, the sign of its exaltation. Here, Venus has essential dignity. Celeste discusses horary astrology (the astrology of burning questions!). When a planet is exalted, it has honor and is illustrious and remarkable; Venus is lifted up here, an invited guest who receives honors. (One interesting example is the chart of Meghan Markle!) Pisces is the sign of all-encompassing love. Venus in Pisces is like a poet, a ballerina, or a singer who can express deep love. It's a wonderful time to do things related to the arts or music. Try to avoid overindulging in bad habits or unhealthy escapism.
12:55 – On Sunday, the theme is SEPARATION. This day will be difficult for some as there is breakup energy. If you or a loved one needs some time alone, honor it.

00:51 – Announcement: Join Celeste for a fun and interactive Aquarius New Moon Workshop!
02:26 – This week's theme is: Penetrating Vision! The week's three big things are: First, Mercury stations direct at 8 Capricorn on Wednesday! It's stationing on fixed star Facies, which, according to Astrology King, is associated with warlike skill and danger to the eyes. Take extra care of your eyes this week! In horary astrology, Facies is associated with eyesight as well. It can also be about having a penetrating vision, and an intense and probing nature. How can you focus on what you want to bring forward? Also, Mercury is stationing in a quincunx to Mars, which can feel like an irritant. How can you release a thought process or way of thinking to help move you forward? A Yod or "finger of God" is also present, as Mercury sextiles the South Node in Scorpio. Will we see big news related to this Yod?
07:13 – Second, the Sun will have its annual conjunction with Pluto. Think: intensity and deep waters. (Lend your ears to Episode 36, "The US Pluto Return & Mercury Retrograde: Surprise!," to hear more about Pluto.) The Sun puts a spotlight on things, and Pluto breaks things down – it rules death and rebirth. This transit could be significant for the US, as Mars is on our natal Uranus. Will we see power struggles or some news of aggression? Remember to breathe and ground yourself if you feel out of sorts.
10:52 – Third, the Sun enters Aquarius on Friday, and we have an Aquarius New Moon on Saturday! Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer but is an air sign. (The water represents the water of knowledge.) Aquarius rules over the collective and is future-focused. Saturn rules it in traditional astrology and Uranus in modern astrology. Astrology highlights for the week of January 8, 2023:
00:50 – This week's theme is: Slow and Steady! This week's three big things are: First, Mercury (communication) in Capricorn trines Uranus (genius, sudden changes, lightning strikes, great awakenings) in Taurus. Both planets are retrograde; they appear to be moving backward. Trines are harmonious; there is easy flow. Capricorn is the sign of business, our ambitions, and what we want to achieve. Taurus is the sign of our resources and values. Will you mine from your experience, and come up with an excellent idea for how you want to move forward?
03:20 – Second, Mars stations direct FINALLY! Mars has been in Gemini since August 20, 2022. On November 30, 2022, it stationed retrograde at 25 degrees Gemini. It's stationing direct at 8 degrees of Gemini. It will be treading over old ground for a few more weeks. Things that are stalled may get some momentum forward. Have you experienced scattered thinking? Use your breath to calm and ground. When Mars stationed retrograde, it did so in a square to Neptune – the planet of illusion and delusion; it was also in a quincunx to Pluto (transformation, chaos and rebirth). This backdrop happened between two eclipses, and there was some big news items: the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk; the terrible Idaho murders of four college students; the "bomb cyclone" in the USA (Buffalo, NY was especially hard hit); the Southwest Airlines meltdown; Greta Thunberg taking down Andrew Tate when he publicly tried to make fun of her, and it backfired; and all of the fake accounts going around, especially on Instagram (Note: Celeste ONLY has one IG account: @astrologybyceleste); and all kinds of unexpected happenings related to the World Cup.
12:52 – Third, we have a Last Quarter (LQ) Moon at 24 Libra on Saturday. Libra is an air sign with a focus on partnership. Libra is represented by the scales. How can you find balance in relationships? This LQ Moon is conjunct the fixed star Spica, which is related to marriage, success, and creativity. LQ Moons are a great time to consider what lessons have been learned in the previous 3-week cycle and the previous 27-month cycle (which began October 16, 2020). Touchpoints in this cycle also occurred on July 17, 2021, and April 16, 2022. What story knits together when you consider these dates?
17:30 – On Sunday, the theme is ANCHOR. What tools help keep you steady and stable? Use them this week.
20:12 – On Monday, the word of the day is COOPERATION. Conflict can escalate quickly. Seek win-win solutions.
21:08 – Tuesday's focus is ELEVATE. Practice being the observer, and as Michelle Obama says, when they go low, we go high! The Moon enters Virgo at 7:15 am PT. The Disseminating Moon phase at 5 Virgo begins at 6:27 pm PT.

23:41 – On Thursday, the theme is RELIEF. Mars stations direct finally, phew! The Moon enters Libra at 6:56 pm PT.
24:32 – On Friday, the emphasis is CONTACT. Make some new connections to help you achieve your goals.
25:32 – On Saturday, the word is EXCITEMENT. Have some fun! The Last Quarter Moon is at 24 Libra at 6:10 pm PT.

03:27 – This week's theme is: Great Awakenings! This week's three big things are: First, Uranus is on the World Point of 15 Taurus. It's known as the Great Awakener and is the higher octave of Mercury. Uranus liberates, breaks things, and brings shocks, awe, or sudden upheaval. It rules earthquakes and lightning bolts. Think: "Eureka!" Uranus rules freedom and equality; it was founded around the time of the French Revolution. Uranus is aligned with eccentricity and/or genius, and just does things differently: The planet spins on its side backward! Uranus spends 7 years in a sign and takes 84 years to go around the chart; a significant life transit is the Uranus opposition around age 42. Uranus can bring excitability, stress, and separation. Expect the unexpected. Celeste also shares what happened when Uranus transited over her Sun! Trump, Musk, and Zelensky both have strong Uranian signatures in their charts. On January 5, the Sun at 15 Capricorn will trine Uranus in Taurus.

This Full Moon is connected to the Lunar Phase Family that began July 9, 2021 (New Moon at 18 Cancer), the First Quarter Moon from April 8, 2022 (at 19 Cancer), and will finish up with the Last Quarter Moon at 13 Cancer on October 6, 2023. What story is playing out for you?

Astrology highlights for the week of December 25, 2022:
01:14 – This week's theme is: Surprise! The three big things this week are: First, Jupiter at 0 Aries is semisquare Uranus at 15 Taurus all week. Both are on world points; big news is coming this week! Will your big splash turn into a belly flop? Will delightful, serendipitous occurrences happen? It's a time to slow down and not rush things.
03:54 – Second, the third and final hit of the US Pluto Return occurs on the 28th! Pluto is known as the Lord of the Underworld. The planet of transformation takes 248 years to circle the Sun, so people never have Pluto Returns (but countries do). Pluto spends 11 to 30 years in a zodiac sign and has been in Capricorn since 2008. Pluto's ideas and words include primal, intensity, power, obsession, rebirth, transformations that are non-negotiable, and wealth from the Earth. On the positive side, Pluto can bring healing and regeneration. But it can also be cruel, brutal, sadistic, destructive, volcanic, and extreme. Pluto is known to unearth buried things; it eliminates and humbles. It is associated with shadows, things we would rather disown, taboo stuff, and sexuality. (Check out the Plutonic movies Seven with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt and 9 ½ Weeks with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke if you'd like!) When people have a Pluto transit, life is never the same again… but once you get through one, Pluto can bring a present of some kind! Natal Pluto is in the US chart's 2nd house of assets, finances, and values. Interestingly, Mercury (commerce, transportation), Venus (negotiations & agreements), and Pluto are parallel! Will we see a railway strike or a government shutdown? Remember that the Renaissance comes after the transformation.
13:16 – Third, Mercury is at 24 Capricorn and turns retrograde (Rx) on Thursday (December 29 - January 18)! It's a great time to review what plans you want to move forward in 2023! Review, revisit, slow down, and be especially careful since Mars is Rx in Gemini, which may bring difficult travel. PSA: Don't sign big contracts or deals unless you read the fine print carefully.
16:53 – On Sunday, the theme is KINDNESS. Speak with loving words to avoid conflict and hard feelings.
18:30 – On Monday, the word of the day is ELEVATE. Practice being the observer. The Crescent Moon phase at 19 Aquarius begins at 6:54 am PT. The Moon enters Pisces at 11:33 pm PT.
